I went in to Ward 9 of Orthopaedics in Fairfield Hospital on July 11th, around 6:30am. I was immediately shown to my bed, and the process of getting me prepped and informed for my procedure was started right away. I was told I was third in line for surgery, and was given a rough expected time as to when I would go in. Every single member of staff I met with was warm and friendly- all the student nurses were so happy to answer all of my questions and I would love to thank them all personally. Please find out the names of them and pass on my feedback! One I came around from my knee camera and meniscal repair, I was sickly and panicked and felt sore but within minutes I was put at ease by everyone. I also want to thank my surgeon and my anaesthetist team, all of whom talked me through everything very clearly. I HATE needles, and everyone was so understanding and patient with me. If I needed help with moving or relieving myself every single member of staff I asked would immediately help me, or seek out someone who was free. I am unbelievably humbled and grateful for everyone on Ward 9. I left the ward July 12th, around half ten am ish. Please pass on my gratitude to everyone who would've been there during my stay. You are all angels and do not get the recognition you deserve.
