Entered A & E in the early hours of Sat 15 June, rapidly diagnosed as blockage in small bowel. Processed quickly through CT scanning & X-Ray, Decision to perform Laparotomy which was performed late afternoon. Surgical team managed to disentangle the small bowel with its lesions caused by an appendectomy 64 years ago without further use of the knife. After very good care on Allerton I was released on Thursday 20 June. Well organised hospital with great staff equalled a good outcome. Long live Torbay hospital and it’s first class staff.
