"Brilliant maternity unit"

About: Kettering General Hospital / Maternity

My waters broke at 30 weeks and I was admitted into hospital. The care I received by the midwifes was fantastic. I was then discharged under fetal health care and they were outstanding in looking after me the care and kindness at a time you are scared is so needed they they made me feel so calm. I was readmitted at 32 weeks due to slow movement and growth and I had to have a c section and prepation for a premature baby. The midwife who looked after during my drip in HDU was so fantastic not only to me but my mum and husband who were worried for me and baby. She also made sure she went into the c section with me which I really appreciate a friendly face. Special care unit where my baby was cared for were brilliant so much so we would like to donate money so if we cN be provided with the details to do that, that would be great. After care in rowan ward was great to u was given a private room which I really appreciated and my husband allowed to stay which made it easy for us to go down to see our baby in speacial care unit. My only issue was I had a flare up of my autoimmune disease which left me in discomfort which I was given pain killer for but needed to be seen by rheumatology who I was already a outpatient for at Kettering it took a few days for them to get this to happen as it was outside of this department, so better connect to other internal departments when in the care of maternity is needed when patients have additional medical needs. All in all I was highly recommended this hospital for maternity care, the care I received was brilliant and I thank you.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such lovely feedback. I am delighted that your experience was so positive despite the early arrival of your baby. I will share your comments with the whole team.
