"Care and compassion"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Critical Care

(as a relative),

My young sister was admitted to QEUH intensive care unit 4 critically ill, unfortunately her condition did not improve and she passed away a few days later.

All the staff involved in her care from consultants, senior registrar and all nursing staff were excellent in all aspects of her care. We were kept well informed and did not have to ask for any update on her condition. The nurses caring for her on a one to one basis treated her with the highest level of care, dignity and respect, and for this I will be eternally grateful. As a health care professional I can honestly say that I am proud to have observed such care and compassion throughout my sisters very short journey within the department.

Dear regent,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback on Care Opinion.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your sister. Please accept my sincerest condolences

It is lovely to hear that all the staff involved in your sisters care showed such care and compassion to your sister, you and your family during this difficult time.

I will certainly pass on your feedback to the team in the Intensive Care Unit 4 at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital as I know that they will appreciate your kind words.

Kind Regards

Lesley
