"Amazing nurses looked after my boy"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Neonatology

(as a parent/guardian),

I spent a few days in ward 2C with my son who at only a few weeks old had to have surgery. This was such a nerve wracking time for all of us and I cant thank the doctors and nurses enough!

Our nurse Nicky looked after us for a few days and honestly the girl was a god send. She not only looked after my baby boy, but looked after me and my husband from just talking to us to holding my hand when my son arrived back from theatre. You were amazing and we hope the pressures of the hospital dont ruin your amazing spirit.

We are now home and thriving as a family! Thank you everyone!

I appreciate what an anxious and difficult time this must have been for you and your family with your baby having to undergo surgery at such a young age. It is great to hear, however, that the team provided such excellent care and support to your son, you and your husband throughout your hospital stay.
