"Car park system affecting trust's reputation"

About: United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust

(as the patient),

I have had several hospital visits lately.

At Lincoln County there was an 8 minute queue to pay for car parking as only one of the two machines was working.

At the Pilgrim I now have to get a lift from a neighbour doing me a favour to drop me off for an operation or pick me up afterwards in the main Sibsey Road by the roadworks near the hospital site as any car entering the site gets identified on the ANPR parking system and is charged whether they park or not. Officially you can enter and drop off without charge, however i have heard that later a fine arrives from the parking people.  I am surprised they have not added a camera and charged everyone driving down Sibsey Road as well!

While I am willing to take legal action to get a fraudulent fine quashed/refunded I cannot put a neighbour (who is doing me a favour)  in that position.

When I have mentioned parking to the nursing staff I have encountered it seems like they shudder, and I believe that they have been told not to respond to any queries about parking.

I feel that it is tIme this system was gone!

I feel that it works ok if you actually park apart from the charge, but it seems that no one gets to pay in under an hour the queue sees to that.
