My experience at stracathro hospital from start to finish was excellent. I went in for key hole surgery for a hernia repair, from the moment I entered the hospital I was greeted by a very happy professional team who showed me around & each member of the team I met from the nurses, anaesthetist & Mr Hamza (surgeon) were very positive, happy & thorough with the information. I felt very relaxed & at ease in stracathro. After my procedure my aftercare was without a doubt the best I have seen & experienced the professionalism & care from the whole team was extraordinary. My conclusion is that stracathro hospital is one of the best & definitely should be used more rather than sending people to a very busy Ninewells hospital.
I feel that if stracathro is a credit to the NHS & if it is closed it will be a tragedy to an already struggling NHS service which we all rely on.
