"Cancelled"

Was due for day surgery 24.06.19, morning list apparently. Sat around for 6 hours. Had no idea that there was a morning list and an afternoon list, so finally at 115pm I get told I've been cancelled, go home. The list has run out of time. Nobody tells you that in any of your appointments. I'd already worked out something was wrong, the surgeon said I'd be down mid morning, when your still sitting there at 1pm and not heard anything you know something is wrong. The annoying thing is, no apology, just I'm the bearer of bad news!!! No alternative appointment. Just go home. For me on a personal note, I've lived with pain for 20 plus years, I've waited for this op for 4 years, I'm desperate. I was absolutely gutted when this was cancelled. When you then read into Leighton cancellations there are shocking statistics, so this appears to be the norm. I know other will have been cancelled yesterday, the nurses were extremely vocal about the 21 patients coming in from 12pm. I'll wait for my next date, then wait for the cancellation
