"GP made me uncomfortable"

This GP left me feeling uncomfortable and anxious after unprofessional and inappropriate questioning. He asked me if was 'a Mrs' and then after I said I was married questioned why I was waiting to have a baby. "Why not now? If not now, when? Why wait?" This is an incredibly personal and private decision, and frankly, none of his business. I found this encounter bizarre and extremely unwelcome. This was my registration appointment - I was not attending to discuss my fertility or family planning. He almost tried to deny me my regular prescription as it can't be taken whilst pregnant. Even though I'm not pregnant. This whole interaction has left me feeling very uneasy and upset. He even apologised for questioning me 'like a father', which is incredibly condescending as I am a 30 year old patient, not this man's daughter. Needless to say, I'm in the process of registering with a new practice.
