While on a visit to family in England (we live in the USA) My husband was taken to Solihull Hospital with pulmonary edema and acute renal failure. He nearly died. The staff in the resuscitation room, the high dependency unit and ward 17 at Solihull Hospital were wonderful. They showed genuine interest in him and were always willing to answer all our questions. They helped him recovery quickly.
He was then moved to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham. He spent time on ward 304 and ward 306 and had aortic valve replacement after which he spent time in ITU. Again the experience was amazing. Everyone was so caring and helpful and he got great treatment! He is recovering well and looking forward to returning home in much better health than he was in when he left here in May. A huge thank you to everyone who was involved in his treatment.
"They showed genuine interest"
