"Felt a inconvenience rudely why I bothered to..."

First can I mention I would give five stars to the front desk and nurses, but the doctor was abrupt, off hand and just plain rude, asked why I came to a and e ? What do you expect from us!!I was under the impression it was a walk in centre, but excuse me if I’m wrong. I even heard him make derogatory remarks about me, as I had recently lost my young son I was not in the mood to complain there and then. but was very upset and actually cried on the way home that I felt like I had done something wrong I’m actually disgusted and wish and hope I never have to enter the doors again! I wish I could say this was a one off.. but no they were also this way when I brought my son in asking if he really had epilepsy implying that he was making it up ( please inform them he passed away from epilepsy ( sudep) so yes he did have epilepsy!!!

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your son. I can’t begin to imagine that loss.

I am sorry that after all you have been through you left our department feeling upset. This is not how we want our patients to feel after leaving us.

We really appreciate you letting us know about your experience with to us so that we can share it with our clinical teams, allowing us to continue our learning and improving the service we provide.
