"We now have hope for our thirteen year old..."

Anorexia nervosa has had my thirteen year old daughter in its evil grip for months with her health spiraling out of control. I will be forever grateful to Huntercombe Hospital, therefore, for admitting her and committing to starting her recovery. They operate a strict and robust regime around a structured meal plan which my daughter agreed with the team of nutritionists and all food is freshly prepared, to a consistently good quality, by the in-house kitchen team. My daughter has amazed me and my wife by eating everything that was agreed and quickly increased her daily calorie intake from 1500 to 2000. While we have a very long way to go, both mentally and physically, in restoring my daughter's health, I would like to thank the doctor and his team for stopping the downward spiral and giving me and my family hope for the future. I dread to think what would have happened without their intervention.

Thank you so much!

I was incredibly moved when I read your views about our eating disorder service here at Huntercombe Maidenhead.

I’m so pleased to learn that your daughter is making good progress and that our structured meal plan appears to be working for her.

I’m particularly grateful to you for sharing your comments because I know your words will resonate with other families who also find their lives drastically altered by Anorexia Nervosa and will I’m sure give others renewed hope for a better future too. With best wishes, Alan Malin, Hospital Director, Huntercombe Maidenhead.
