"Came away with little or no aftercare instructions"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

Last week attended day surgery unit at Queen Margaret hospital Dunfermline.

Nursing care first class no issues at all .

However , surgeon was very offhand ,arrogant

and seemed to be more interested in telling all and sundry how Aberdeen operated ,

came away with little or no aftercare instructions ,since then had to attend local GP

to get lost operative advice.

Dear Irked,

I am pleased to learn that you were happy with the nursing care you recently received when you attended the Queen Margaret Day Surgery Unit.

I am however disappointed and concerned that your experience was not a positive one in relation to communications with your Surgeon and your aftercare instructions. If you were prepared to contact me I would be pleased to discuss this further with you. I have left my contact details below.

It’s important that we find out how things have been from a patients perspective and therefore I would welcome this opportunity to communicate further with you.

Regards Arlene
