Having had previous experience of this establishment my expectations were not high. And they did not disappoint. The medical/surgical staff, whilst possibly being highly qualified in their various disciplines, are high-handed, surly and, quite frankly, mendacious. My wife was a patient for fully five weeks with opinions being expressed about what treatment she required, only to find that, at the end of it, she was treated for the condition we suspected when she was admitted. A simple ‘we don’t know’ would have been more honest. She then experienced an on/off process for a further 6 days before an operation. The hospital has a rehab facility called the Pulross Centre, invariably pronounced as Paul Ross. I think the reason for the distraction is that they don’t want anyone to read the reviews, which are not favourable. Furthermore, such is the staff interest in this place that it is described as being in Peckham. It is in Brixton and anyone familiar with the village mentality of South Londoners will know that, though geographically close, Peckham and Brixton are miles apart. It will be noticed that I have excluded the nursing staff from criticism who, save for the odd rotten apple, are excellent, as are the ancillary staff, who are cheerful and encouraging. On the whole I would advise would be patients to, if it is possible, steer clear of this God-forsaken place
"what does this even mean?"
