I went into hospital unable the feel my left hand. 9 hours and many questions later I was given a bed (that had been thrown up against a wall for the night). My initial triage nurse has left me with a large number of scratches up my arm. The night staff, although fairly busy, were abysmal. Myself and my partner fell asleep fully clothed due to the long wait and time I was finally seen too. I then work to two nurses stood around me one with her swab in my mouth the other very rudely demanding my partner leaves, claiming if a nurse had have seen her she would have been told to leave, we was then joined by a third nurse who stated she had been speaking to my partner through the night and admitted knowing she was here with me. Due to this rude awakening I felt the environment was very hostile and extremely uncomfortable and I made the decision to take myself out of this situation. No blood results, not a single bit of understanding, absolutely no closer to getting any answers what so ever. I still do not have the use to my left arm, and I’d rather stay that way than waste my time in Chorley hospital ever again. On a scale of 1-10, on this occasion they have scraped by on a 0. Goodluck to anybody visiting here.
