"Heart attack when I was hiking"

About: Golden Jubilee National Hospital / Cardiac Surgery Lochaber (Belford) Hospital / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Cardiology (Heart Conditions) Wards 6c & 6d

(as the patient),

In June this year I was hiking with a Group of people in the area of Black Mountains. Short before I reached the Peak the chest pain started. I have managed to came Downhill and got to the Belford Hospital in Fort Williams. The Team there was very professional and gave me the first Treatment to reduce my chest pain. Many thanks to the whole personnel involved. Then I was transfered to Glasgow via helicopter Transport. In the Golden Jubilee National Hospital the Team of Prof. Berry did a Ultra sonic scan and the angiography. It was meanwhile midnight. Many thanks to Dr. Berry. After one day I was transfered to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Ward 6C. I felt tyred and had no Appetite al all. After changing the Medicine it became better. Thank you to Dr. Davie, Dr. Berg and Dr. Durran which supported me to get back to Germany. Many thanks to the whole Team of Ward 6C.

Hello,

many thanks for your Reply. It would be great if you can also send my thanks to the team of the Hospital of Fort William. Unfortunately I cannot remember the names. I arrived there on June 11th late afternoon and they took the immediate actions to reduce my pain and to be able to be transportable.

Yours sincerely

Dear MaWe,

I’m so pleased to hear that you got home safely. I’ve spent many moments wondering how you got on since I last saw you & little imagined that I would ever hear how you got on. It’s amazing & so nice to hear that you’ve got so much positive to say after what overall must have been quite a gruesome ordeal for you. My very best wishes go with you in the future.

Yours sincerely,

Andrew Davie
