"Brilliant clinical sleuthing saved my husband's life"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as a relative),

I just wanted to express my profound thanks to Dr Wesley and Dr Wright, who managed the care of my husband on Sheppard Ward. He had been unconscious in Southmead ICU before transfer back to our wonderful Musgrove Park Hospital. , and Dr Wright's diagnostic hunch definitely paid off and saved his life. He tells me that has never felt better, and has even purchased an electric bike!   I'm also grateful, if only because his discharge letter may have broken the NHS's record for length and complexity! The staff on Sheppard Ward are amazing. He is having follow-up from various departments, and we were thankful that Dr Pearl has reviewed him as an outpatient this week.

I write to thank you for sharing your your kind comments regarding the care your husband experienced whilst on Sheppard Ward. I'm so pleased he is feeling much better now, and hopefully able to enjoy his electric bike!
