Hello,
My name is Lorena and I just had this
weekend antenatal classes in Whipps Cross Hospital. My current hospital is Newham but I have been advised to try and contact Whipps cross instead as all the spaces were filled in Newham.
I had lovely and funny member of staff dealing with my query and she was the one holding the classes as well.
She was just amazing and is so obvious she loves her job and she’s exceeding in her domain. Firstly as a midwife and secondly as a teacher.Very knowledgeable, patient, entertaining. Is not easy to catch the attention of around 10 pregnant ladies for 2 days. But she did, and I even forgot my back
pain or heartburn while being in the class.
I came in a bit skeptical as I’ve heard in general antenatal classes are just common sense but is not true. I’ve learned so much about labour, birth, breastfeeding, looking after a newborn. Everyone felt so comfortable, we had a good laugh through it, did team work activities, practical ones, had a visit of the Maternity section. I feel way more relaxed now knowing about my choices and after I saw the room for water birth I definitely feel less anxious and I did my self referral to this hospital straight away.
To end with, compliments to this particular member of staff again for all the great job she is doing helping expectant mothers in their journey.
Kind regards,
Lorena S.
"Amazing antenatal classes."
