I visited the Rheumatology Occupational Therapist last month as my Rheumatology consultant referred me to them.
I saw Kirsty the Occupational Therapist & I have nothing but praise for her. I was really apprehensive before my appointment, especially as my consultant hadn’t explained why he had referred me in the first place.
Kirsty greeted me with a big smile & made me feel instantly at ease. The first appointment was really informative & she provided gadgets which have been a godsend, all I have to say is that certain ones have been invaluable.
I returned the following week where we looked at managing fatigue & looked at addressing my low mood & motivation as well as tips on looking after my joints. Again, Kirsty was very knowledgable & made me feel like I could manage my condition.
I would definitely recommend patients who have Fibromyalgia to take up the offer to see an Occupational Therapist & to see Kirsty would be a bonus.
Thank you Kirsty for your time, patience & help, you are a credit to your profession.
