I recently changed from a Wiltshire practice to North Baddesley. My previous practice started me on an ACE inhibitor (BP reducing medication that acts on the kidneys) without ever checking my renal function. North Baddesley phoned me up, arranged a hypertension review and the nurse did my bloods, BP, weight and waist circumference in a lovely, friendly consultation. The nurses technique for taking bloods was exemplary - they wore gloves, used sharp safe devices, cleaned my arm properly (not just showed it a skin prep wipe but cleaned the spot and allowed it to dry) and used a disposable tourniquet, add it was quick and painless.Really impressed with the organisation and quality. thank you.
