I was a driver involved in a car crash on the A90.
I am writing this to say a huge thank you to everyone that helped and looked after myself and my friend.
A lovely nurse who was a passer by on the road who worked for Grampian (who I frustratingly can't remember the name of) was amazing. She comforted me when it initially happened as I was so frightened. There was also a lovely driver from Zimbabwe who helped out and was so kind. They both put me at ease and helped a great deal and they cannot be thanked enough.
I was then taken into the ambulance. The paramedics were amazing. Ruth, Amy, Mark and Wayne - again, I can't thank you enough. You gave me lots of laughs despite being so scared and helped me so much. I hope you ended up having a great birthday and enjoyed your carrot and chocolate cake!
I was then taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. The team at ARI were all fantastic. Porters, nurses, doctors, surgeons, radiographers, physio's, OT's and more. I can't remember names, but everyone provided me with amazing care and put me at great ease. Also, the staff and students in ward 212 at ARI were brilliant. The surgeons have fixed me up brilliantly and were such lovely people. The theatre nurses also put me at great ease and were so kind.
Everyone cannot be thanked enough and I am so grateful for the seamless care I received.
