After surgery and chemotherapy in 2015 my lung cancer returned in August 2017.
I was fortunate to be referred to an oncologist.
From the outset she showed her care and determination in planning my care.
I started a course of radiotherapy in October.
The whole team who cared for me during this time were friendly and very professional.
There were some side effects but everyone was there to help. Unfortunately shortly after the treatment it was found that my cancer had metastasised to my brain.
I was speedily referred to the Q E in Birmingham by my oncologist where I had cyberknife surgery.
As things stand today the wonderful treatment I have received from all that have cared for me in the NHS allows me a reasonably good quality of life. I go for 3 monthly check ups on the lungs and brain.
Thank you to all at Worcester that have cared for me over the past four years.
You have all been friendly, helpful and so professional.
