"I have not touched drugs since"

My addiction was with Cocaine. I started using drugs in 1999 as a recreational tool and slowly my addiction grew to a point where I was not only destroying my life but, my families and and people that were close to me. Over the years I tried to stop but would always go back to drugs. It might be a week, two weeks, but eventually I would be back on it again.

In 2018 I came to a point in my life where it had to stop. I hit the brick wall and had no where to go. I woke up one morning and said enough is enough, that was November 2018 and I have not touched drugs since. 

I looked up on the internet local drug services and CGL was the first thing that come up. I called CGL and the staff facilitated me straight away. I came in for an assessment and was totally honest with the staff. I have been coming to groups ever since on a weekly basis and have support from my keyworker assigned to me and also fellow group members.
