I was attending an appointment and had to get an xray. Whilst waiting for my name to be called a care assistant from a care home and a resident arrived. The carer and resident were in the completely wrong hospital and campus. The receptionist had gone to get someone to see if it was possible for the resident to be seen here to save another trip. She came to the waiting room to speak to the resident and carer and explained that the team were busy scanning at that time but she would check with them and let them know soon. Less than 5 minutes later the residents name was called and she was seen. None of the staff made a big fuss about having to squeeze them in or anything. They made sure that the resident was put first. This started with the reception team. I didn't hear any huffing puffing or witness any eye rolling- they were hugely accommodating and respectful. What a team!
