"Urology Operation - cant praise the staff highly enough"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Day Surgery University Hospital Ayr / Urology

(as the patient),

I waited more than the Treatment Time Guarantee of 12 weeks to have Bladder Stones removed, fortunately I was not in any pain and the long wait to have the procedure carried out did not cause me any discomfort. I was admitted to Ayr Hospital to have my operation in May. Although I had to wait some considerable time I have no complaint about my treatment which I found to be very good cant praise the staff highly enough.

Dear Bankie

Thank you for your feedback regarding your experience within the Urology Service at UHA.

Firstly I would like to apologise for the length of time you had to wait for your operation. We do strive to deliver our care within the required guarantee time however, for many reasons, we are unable to achieve this.

The clinical and management teams are working together to improve our delivery times across all of our services as we recognise the impact this has on our patients when we are unable to do so.

I note your kind comments regarding the care you received and I will share these with the staff.

I hope you have made a full recovery and, once again, thank you for your feedback.

John
