After being diagnosed with endocarditis this year for the second time, first being 2007, I was offered treatment on an outpatient basis. This is currently ongoing and I find it to be far superior than being put in hospital like the last time.
I was in hospital for nine weeks and in a seriously bad way, this equates to 1500 bed hours and 180 meals, this time I visit hospital once a day in the morning and receive my antibiotics and leave, the service is fantastic as are all the staff, I am happy to be home and allowing a bed to be given to someone in more need of it, so far so good with my treatment and I can't thank the doctors and nursing staff enough.
"Fantastic outpatient service"
