I have been attending the podiatry clinic for over a year as I have had ingrowing toe nails, the service I normally receive by the podiatrist has been exceptional in the pass, when I arrived for my appointment today, I couldn't help overhearing the staff discussing their problems at work, bitching about other members of staff and also how difficult my procedure was going to be today and how they don't particularly like do little toes and complaining that they had to do 4 for my toe nails. The door was left open so I could hear everything that the staff were saying. When I went in to the room I did confront the staff and told them that maybe next time they should shut the door if the are going to discuss a patient, I had said that if they didn't want to do the surgery then I would re book my appointment with someone else, I didn't particularly want the surgery again however it needed to be done, it made me feel uncomfortable and did explain this to them, they tried to justify that the second time of having my toes nails may not work but it came across like an excuse, I then explained to them that I have had secondary nail surgery on another toe and it worked. They did apologise however I don't think it was acceptable and was dissatisfied that the podiatrist couldn't do the surgery for one reason or another. I don't want to hear staff moaning about their job while I am waiting in the waiting area. I am dreading going back for my appointments.
