"The birth of my daughter"

This May I gave birth to my beautiful daughter. I wanted to give a massive thank you to the midwives in The Victoria Hospital as they were fantastic (as they have been the whole way through what was a difficult pregnancy). I went into labour at home and it very quickly escalated and I made it to hospital with only 7 minutes to spare. The midwife I had with me was Kirsty and she was amazing. I was too far gone for any pain relief and she kept me (and my husband) as calm as possible for the short time before our baby was born. Everything happened so quick and I was in shock but Kirsty was amazing. You would think that as it was my 3rd child I would have been prepared but I was not. The service available from the midwife led unit is fantastic and I cannot thank them enough for helping bring my daughter safely into the world.
