"Ongoing issues relating to infection"

About: University Hospital Monklands / General Surgery (Wards 4 & 7)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Ward 4.  Admitted frequently due to dehydration/infection.  Care good from ward staff and medical staff.  Able to speak freely to staff if any concerns - staff very approachable.   Accessing PIU for fluid balance 2 days per week - everything very well co-ordinated and happy with treatment. Very happy with consultant - very well treated.  Food could be improved but down to personal preference.

Dear Uhm3

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell us about your experience in Ward 4 and the PIU. I am glad that you were happy with the care that you have been receiving and that staff are approachable and keep you informed regarding your treatment.

I will make sure that your comments are passed on to the staff within Ward 4 and the PIU who will be really pleased to receive your feedback.

With regard to the food, I appreciate this can be down to personal preference but will pass this on to our Catering Manager to make her aware.

I wish you well with your ongoing treatment.

Kind Regards

Lynn McTavish
