"Nursing staff lack professionalism and compassion"

About: Winterbourne Hospital

Inpatient experience for a total hip replacement was traumatic, degrading and unhygienic. Whilst i cannot fault the consultant surgeon or the anaesthetist, the rest of the nursing staff on the whole were appalling.

Basic dignity and compassion lacking - when asking for even some water I was made to feel I was a nuisance. I feel thankful to have left and would never, ever go back. There is nothing to recommend here.

I am very sorry to hear about your experience and we will discuss your concerns with our nursing team at the next operations meeting. We are very proud of our nursing team here and upset to hear that you had a negative experience. The comfort and safety of our patients is very important to us and rest assured we will address the issues you have highlighted.
