My experience in ward F15 was appalling. I was admitted in severe pain in my left side and sent up to the gynae ward. The next morning as soon as they had scanned and found it wasn’t gynae and most probably bowel related they weren’t interested. The female doctor actually quote said “the surgeons and doctors aren’t interested”. Instead of being asked how I was, what my pain level was or receiving any care at all, instead she asked what my husband thought (which as much as I love my husband is completely irrelevant?!! I’m the one in pain not my husband?! She obviously had a weird thing about men as she asked really weird personal questions and one nurse even asked why my engagement ring looked like it did and asked why i didn't have an eternity ring?!!!! I’m 28....not 60 and also how is this medically relevant?!! If they spent more time on my care instead of asking me questions about my jewellery I wouldn’t had still been in chronic pain. A private hospital identified the issue immediately and gave me tablets and I already feel better. It’s so sad that the nhs can’t seem to do their job properly. I’m lucky that I’m in a situation where I can go privately but what about the people who can’t?! So disappointed with this hospital, the care and the cleanliness!!
