"Visit to minor injuries with my son"

About: Mount Vernon Hospital Site

I brought my son up here as he had hurt his thumb. We waited quite patiently for the receptionist to come back, which she did after we’d been waiting 15 minutes. Then as she was coming back the phones started ringing so she said very loudly ‘I’m only one bloody person I can’t do everything.’ She was very short with us when booking in. We then sat waiting to be seen and had to listen to one of the receptionist at the X-ray department loudly slagging off patients and complaining her annual leave had finished. I felt that her volume was ridiculously loud and I know too much about people I don’t know. We were finally seen by a dr after 2 hours and sent for an X-ray where I had the displeasure of having to speak to the loud receptionist who let the whole waiting room know she couldn’t help me because the dr hadn’t given me a sticker! Feel that the reception staff could definitely do with some more training in dealing with the public and confidentiality.

I am so sorry that you had this horrible experience. I realise that this took place many months ago, but I have only just received this feedback to comment on.

If you could, I would be grateful if you could let me know what date you attended. I suspect that this situation has already been dealt with, but I would like to make certain.

Thank you
