Daughter was admitted due to a fractured arm and soon on arrival we was made to feel welcome and settled. Both myself and my daughter was shown her bed space and the toy room and parents tea coffee room. Due to time of the evening we was unable to use toy room until morning but due to WiFi on the ward this was no pain as we watched TV and movies in bed. Nurses and staff all kept us in the loop when making decisions and when we called for pain relief they responded promptly and administered when possible. We was supported to the theatres when my daughter had to be operated on and was called by the ward when the operation was complete I felt involved in her care and informed every step of the way. Everyone made us feel welcome and was there every step of the way. My daughter especially loved the toy room were she was given lots of arts and crafts to do supported by both myself and a kind member of staff who happy got her some arty bits to use. Discharge was easy and simple and on exit we was made to of felt welcome on the ward I'd definitely recommend anyone who needs to use the ward do so as it's been fantastic for us on the two occasions we've used it.
"Fantastic kind brilliant experience"
