"Good outpatient elderly care - Falls Clinic"

About: Nelsons Court

My elderly mum and I arrived slightly late for her outpatient falls assessment due to heavy traffic but were reassured by the staff on arrival that this wasn’t a problem. I liked the idea of seeing all the health care professionals in the same place one after the other and over the course of the next 2 1/2 hours my mum had a thorough assessment of her condition. The staff were understanding and caring and demonstrated competence throughout. Unfortunately we didn’t get the message about needing to bring a drink and there didn’t seem to be any vending machines for tea or coffee so we were rather tired and thirsty by the end of the long session. However, we felt satisfied as we left that everything necessary had been considered during the falls assessment. Thank you to the busy staff on behalf of my mum.

Thank you so much for the kind comment about your visit to St Helens with your mum. It sounds like you were both well looked after - except for the missing drink!

I'll pass this feedback on to the team so that they can be proud of their work. And I'll also raise the question of whether we could at least provide some jugs of water, especially as the weather warms up!

Thanks for the feedback.
