I was sent for the removal of my appendix this week and was on ward 4 for 2 days. The professionalism from all the staff was excellent. A direct mention has to go to one Nurse and the other nurse on the nights went above and beyond. The nurse went that one step further to not only to make sure I was medicated and in no pain but to make sure I was comfortable and happy. In my eyes she did her job and that little bit extra. Being in there on your own is slightly daunting, but the nurse ensured every step of the way I was in no pain and understood what was going on every step of my treatment. This is one aspect I didn’t feel was the case through the day when she wasn’t there. I did feel sometimes I was left out of what was happening. However, The staff on the day did do everything they possibly could within their busy working day. I would like to thank every member of staff on ward 4 for all of their help and hospitality. They truly are magnificent at what they do. You are all a credit to the NHS.
"The sheer excellence of the NHS"
