"Getting mum back on her feet"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service / Patient Transport Service WestMARC (West of Scotland Mobility and Rehabilitation Centre)

(as a relative),

The staff at Westmarc have been fantastic in the treatment they've given my mum since she had her leg amputated.  She's been attending for 2 months and with the treatment, support and encouragement from everybody at Westmarc she now has her prosthetic.  Over the weeks, she's improved bit by bit in terms of her mobility and ability, but, more importantly, she's been really positive, maintained a wicked sense of humour and looks forward to attending the one to one sessions and classes twice weekly.

For us as a family, it's been brilliant because the staff invited me to visit and talked me through some of the practicalities of getting mum back on her 'feet'.

I'd also like to give a massive thanks to the patient transport ambulance staff who have made her attending the sessions possible, the lovely ladies on reception, porters and cleaners who keep the place spotless and the cafe volunteers (sorry if I missed anybody x)

Thank you for everything

Dear Dollydiva,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am delighted to read that your mother is doing so well and in particular, keeping her wicked sense of humour.

In all seriousness though this must have been an exceptionally challenging time for you and your mother and for you to take the time to make these lovely comments about everyone involved is just lovely.

I hope that your mother continues in her progress and carries on being positive in a situation that most would not.

Kind Regards

Alan
