"Fantastic Surgeon and Team - L5/s1 Lumbar..."

I went to see the surgeon after being let down by the NHS at St Georges in London when they forgot to put me on the waiting list for surgery. I was diagnosed with a slipped disc at L4/L5/S1 which was sat on my sciatic nerve in september. Having done some research on here I spoke with my GP and requested to have a urgent referral sent to the surgeon (mid dec 18). I was contacted within a week and had an appointment within 3 weeks. (early Jan19) and was then operated on, on the mid Feb 2019. I was only in overnight for surgery which went very well. They successfully removed the damage disc freeing up the nerve so i actually woke up with no pain and use of my right leg again. The nurses showed such compassion and care for all patients, there were only a few of us in there. I had a physio visit the day of release where they practise what you can and cant do. My 8 week postop went well and am now back to work after a 6 month wait. I could not recommend the surgeon and his team more. My mother is now also being treated by him for a spinal injury.
