"Standing for first time in 28 years"

About: Nottingham Mobility Centre

(as the patient),

I have been an amputee since 1985 and a paraplegic wheelchair user since 1991.

After a horrific accident approx 16 months ago I suffered a very bad wound at work on my left buttock and have struggled with constantly having pressure on the area due to being paraplegic.

I have recently had a pair of leg brace calipers made and in just 3 visits to your wonderful mobility center I have been able to stand the first time in 28 years.

This is without doubt through the confidence I have had in Rich and last Friday he had me moving out of the bars with a topro mobility walker.

I cannot explain how physically and mentally this has improved my life and I genuinely feel that people in society are far too quick to complain about the nhs but for me it cannot be faulted.

I am sure you are already aware of how good this man is but what a tremendous asset to your great team and I look forward to my mobility improving more.

Thank you

Wow! What amazing feedback for Team NUH – thank you. What an achievement. We are lucky to have Rich as part of our team and it’s great to know his work has made such a difference to your life. I’ll make sure this feedback is shared with him.

Thank you once again and best wishes,
