"visit to A&E"

About: Manor Hospital / Accident and emergency

Took my 15month old grandson to A&E on Saturday lunchtime , with sickness and diarrhoea , a high temp and a rash on his arms face and shoulders, as per the advice of 111

A&E was completely empty , however we were sent to the Urgent Care Centre, which was absolutely packed, people were sitting in the corridor.

After 1 1/2 hours he hasn't even been assessed.

I complained saying we were worried about the rash and how hot he was.

I was told because he was over 1, he would have to wait in line , like everyone else.

he was eventually seen after 2 hours by a nurse who said it was viral, the rash was nothing to worry about but there was another 2 hour wait to see a doctor.

at this point we went home.

The service is very poor.

the Urgent Care Centre cannot cope with the volume of people it is having to see since the walk in closed, so why is A & E empty, and why are babies not been prioritized or sent to a separate clinic.
