About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I attended the Day Surgery Department at Hairmyres Hospital for an endoscope. I was very apprehensive because of a previous bad experience with this procedure. I needn't have worried. The staff were excellent. They acknowledged my concerns and used kindness, care and humour to reassure me. 

The procedure went well. I can't remember a thing! 

Please pass on a big' thank you' to the staff concerned. You are all stars!

I am sorry to hear you of your bad experience previously, I appreciate how apprehensive you must have felt due to this. I am really delighted to hear that you felt the staff were excellent and they listened to your concerns, the team always enjoy some light humour within the unit. I am glad your procedure went well and your sedation was effective. I will personally pass on your gratitude to the teams, thank you once again for your lovely positive feedback it is greatly appreciated.
