I was admitted for my 5th ACDF surgery in April on the day of my surgery my consultant wasn’t there I had to scribble on my consent form to agree for another surgeon to perform my surgery it was very distressing I was in Lady Ann ward following my surgery which wasn’t a very nice experience I was never given the right diet which was above my bed advised by the Speech and language team and dietician I was given frozen food which hadn’t been defrosted or cooked properly sadly the nursing staff were not as attentive and thorough as they could have been I witnessed nursing assistants watching films on their phones and some actually sleeping in a chair whilst there were dirty commodes and patients in need of some help overall not the best experience lack of management presence and communication between staff has a major impact in my opinion
"Poor aftercare in lady Ann ward"
