"The lack of help, communication, service."

This is about Pontefract hospital, I was referred to the sleep clinic in 2017. But ended up spending more then 18 months waiting, to be told the sleep clinic shut down at the end of 2018. And I only found that out April 2019 by YORK hospital. I had no communication, letters, phone calls or even they letting my GP know what was going on. I got told so many lies such as “you called us” which I have proof you didn’t. And another lie “you don’t send letters” despite the fact you sent me 1 at the beginning. And since I couldnt find or get hold of any sleep clinic team, I was even let down by other departments of the hospital, respiratory, heart, neurology. I called countless times, getting transferred and getting told that my name what’s even on the system. So it felt that I wasn’t important. And since no one saw by my name, I couldn’t understand since in May 2018 I signing out a sleep apnea machine. Also during this I got told I would see someone by the latest the end of autumn so November 2018.

But that didn’t happen, I didn’t see one doctor in this whole ordeal, I didn’t even have a conversation with a doctor. Also I received no treatment or even advice, just left to wait for nothing. I have evidence of me trying to find information, call logs, copy’s of my GP trying to get in touch and getting nowhere, letters, pictures and many conversations with other professionals, who couldn’t understand how I have be treated so disgusting awful, especially since my case was from the beginning was classed as URGENT. There is no such reason to justify this it is simple a complete failure in care. And after ALL this York hospital was the one to tell me that Pontefract sleep clinic is shut down and that they sent me back to were I started at a whole 18 months. PONTEFRACT didn’t even tell me they were sending my case else where, an explanation, or even an apology. You wasted up to 2 years of my life, and I am not going to allow this to be brushed under the rug. Because it shouldn’t have happened.
