"Do not care about the actual reason you have..."

About: Watford General Hospital

I went to this hospital because I overdosed on paracetamol. My life was in danger. Instead of worrying about the fact that I had just tried killing myself they focused entirely on another unrelated health issue. I had them telling me I was at risk of going blind and of kidney damage because of my diabetes and asked if I cared about high blood glucose readings because the one reading they took was slightly high, probably because of feeling extremely pressured/stressed? And scared. And the fact I had not eaten for a while. I cared about the fact I had over 20 paracetamol in my body and not a bit of blood sugar at the time. I felt as if my suicide attempt was completely dismissed. There was barely any mention of the paracetamol, they focused completely on the blood glucose. To have someone ask me if I care about my diabetes and that I can lose my sight and be on a dialysis when I have been admitted for a suicide attempt is disgusting. The priority should have been all the painkillers not another health issue. I cared about my liver and my life. Not about how much sugar was present at the time in my blood. Asking me if I had my insulin chart with me. Telling me to take my own insulin and asking why my reading was high and why I wasn't administering myself insulin. Same thing happened to my Aunt, She went there for chest pain and all they did was focus on her mind and mental health issues. Standing there asking me how much insulin I take everyday. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you want to have all other health matters broadcast to everyone I would recommend here. If you want to have them dismiss the actual reason your there, I would recommend.
