I attended Solihull hospital as a day patient undergoing a colonoscopy at 1.50 pm Tuesday in May 2019. My Wife and I arrived a little early.Help was immediately provided to direct us to the endoscopy department ,an admission nurse took me to a private undressing room with en suite facilities where the procedure was explained and necessary form completion done. Then transferred to the procedure room and again in depth told about the examination I was to have. A caring nurse looked after my wellbeing the whole time. The procedure took about 45 minuites although uncomfortable I felt reassured all of the time.Wheeled into the recovery room I was given choice of drink and sandwiches again being given full attention, after 30 minutes or so full information on what was found and a full Written report along with
excellent discharge advice given. At about 3.30 I Left the hospital. The following morning at 9.30 a telephone call from the unit checked up on my condition.
A few years ago I had a similar procedure whilst in private healthcare I must say my treatment at Solihull NHS hospital was as good and exceeded my expectations .
Thank you all for your expertise and care. Long live our NHS.
