I bought my son, Jack to the A&E at the QA on 18 April as he had an extremely swollen throat.
We had been to A&E at another hospital and told that there was nothing that could be done as it was just a sore throat.
When we arrived at the QA we were seen by the assessment nurse very quickly who contacted the ENT department.
My son was taken to Ward D8 and seen by a doctor who diagnosed a quinsy and carried out treatment on his throat.
My son stayed in Ward D8 for two nights.
Every member of staff that we saw at the QA, from arrival to discharge, was lovely.
The staff in Ward D8 were amazing; calm, cheerful, patient and kind.
Thank you for everything you did for my son.
"Thank you for all your help"
