"Worth their weight in gold"

About: London Ambulance Service NHS Trust Princess Royal University Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

I just wanted to say a big thank you for the wonderful care given to my mum recently. When she was taken ill at home I called 111. unfortunately I can't remember the lady's name but she was so kind, caring and helpful. She had called an ambulance before we finished the call and was very soothing to mum.

The paramedics were with us within 15 minutes and as always were fantastic and managed to convince mum to go to hospital. Although we were at the PRUH  for over 8 hours everyone was lovely.  The nurses, Erika, Claire and Margaret , the cleaner Terry who kept me in tea and the lovely Dr Sam who explained everything and eventually sent us on our way.

Our NHS is amazing and everyone in it is worth their weight in gold

Dear SC2019,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to hear that your mum has had reason to use the services of the Scottish Ambulance Service and that also of our partners in NHS Scotland. Can I please take this opportunity to wish your mother a full and speedy recovery.

I am however very pleased to read that your experience from all the staff involved from the initial 111 phonecall to the cleaner Terry was very positive. It is lovely to read that in stressful situations like this one there is a Service that truly cares.

Thanks again for your time and all the very best.

Kind Regards

Alan

Hello and thank you for your kind comments.

I will ensure that these are passed onto the team in A&E at PRUH so that the staff you mention can see them. I hope your mum is doing ok.
