Background: requested appointment which I was offered same day (excellent) and saw a particular doctor who diagnosed fungi on my genital area. Was prescribed an antifungal cream that included hydrocortisone. I ended up three weeks later being diagnosed with genital herpes. I became aware that corticosteroids reduce body defenses and therefore allow herpes to appear. It was the opposite of a good diagnosis? Isn't it?if unsure better to do a referral...
"A worrying experience"
