"Unfair cancellation of appointment"

About: Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus

Had appointment acknowledging letter and was told appointment date will be the next letter sent through the post. The best correspondence I received was one saying my appointment had been cancelled due to a Dr knowing nothing about me. No questions asked, not even an health form or check to explain my symptoms such as savere migraines, sharp pains in my head which cause my ears to ring which leaves me disorientated. Severe mood swings. Ive have my skull fractured in two places due to a violent relationship and and abusive childhood. But apparently this does not me me a prime candidate to see a neurologist. I'm so confused

Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry to hear that our communication has been poor and for any confusion this has caused. To help us to give you a more detailed explanation of why your referral for a clinic appointment was declined on this occasion, and advise you about next steps, please contact our patient experience team on 0115 924 9924 ext 66623 or email QMCPET@nuh.nhs.uk and we will look into this for you as a matter of urgency.

Kind regards
