"International Women’s Day"

About: Rampton Hospital / National High Secure Healthcare Service for Women

(as the patient),

In March we had a celebration at the Diamond resource centre (DRC) for the international Women’s day. All the wards in the female units had the opportunity to do a display and talk about inspirational women’s. Our ward did one and music we sang in the DRC Choir. Loads of visitors came and we got great feedback and encouragement.

Thank you for your posting. It sounds like you had a enjoyable day and it's good to see your ward got involved. The displays, singing and visitors sounds like the event was well planed and great involvement. It is very positive to hear you that you got a lot of feedback and of course being encouraged in this way. Well done.

Thanks for this posting.

I also thought the day was great. I found myself thinking about it a lot afterwards. Listening to the music and looking at the displays was really inspiring. So, thank you for all you did.

Best wishes.

P.

Thank you for this posting

Once again we had a fantastic response from staff and patients for this event, and each time we put on an event the support we recieve is outstanding. This has a very rewarding effect on my approach to coming to work, knowing that the hard work in planning and patient involvement is worthwhile and appreciated, each event gets bigger and better and this can only be a good thing for all involved.

Thanks so much WD3 for posting. the International Women's day celebrations and ohter events held in the DRC day care services are getting more patients attending and participating. The success is due to the events being patient-led and positive comtributions from you and your peers in planning and positively engaing in the activities. At the International Women's Day, patients' choices of staff who provide compassionate care was very moving!.

Keep on coming up ideas on how we can improve on self-esteem, social interactions and interpersonal skills.

thank you
