"Gastroscopy"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Gastroenterology

(as a service user),

Made to feel welcome on arrival at Pilgrim Hospital on a Saturday. I was immediately taken through to admission and efficiently completed all paperwork. Whilst apprehensive everything was explained and reassurances given appropriately. I was given an IV sedative and following that cannot remember having any discomfort. I was woken and then informed all was normal and discharged all within 3/4 of an hour.

The staff were very good and may have been rushed but I didn’t feel any lack of care. Thank you to the team.

Hi Yshd

Many thanks for taking the time to post feedback on your recent visit to endoscopy and how the staff dealt with you.

All staff are aware that a visit to Endoscopy can cause patients concern due to the nature of the procedures that are undertaken. I know they always try their best to help alleviate these concerns by being caring and considerate.

I have shared your lovely thank you to the team at Pilgrim

Regards

Sharon
